Today’s second release is Haseena Parkar, a biographical crime thriller film which features Shraddha Kapoor in the title role. Haseena Parkar is directed by Apoorva Lakhia, written and screenplay by Suresh Nair.
The plot of this film is based on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseen Parker. Apoorva Lakhia has presented the film as a courtroom drama, where Haseena has been cross-examined in the court and in the middle, they take the story into the flashback and showcased the related events. The film begins with the court and ends in court.
The direction of Apoorva Lakhia is highly poor in this film. Haseena Parkar isn’t able to bind the audience. Even the casting of the film is not good, but Shraddha Kapoor seems appealing.
If we talk about the acting, Shraddha did a great job and her acting is wonderful in this film. She did something different, in comparison to her other works she did till date. According to the kind of characters she played, it would have been very challenging for her but she did it.
Siddhanth Kapoor, the real life brother of Shraddha Kapoor, played the role of Dawood but he did not seem to be anywhere like Dawood. He doesn’t look impressive at all. The one who played lady advocate in the film did a great work but judge and Haseena Parkar’s acting is not up to the mark. I don’t understand, on what basis they get the role.
The cinematography of the film is definitely good, but seeing the film’s script, direction, and casting, it seems that there was some kind of hurry to make this film and that is why they made one, like this in precocity.
The movie disappoints at every front, it is a money and time waste film. But if you are a fan of Shraddha Kapoor or you have been criticising her then you should watch this film. My rating to Haseena Parkar is 2 out of 5.
