A few days back Sushant Singh Rajput and Kirti Sanon starrer ‘Raabta’s’ official trailer has been released. Where we saw the quirky romance of Sushant and Kriti’s character and then Jim Sarah as the bad guy and also reincarnation glimpse.
The movie seems to have all masala to be a good Bollywood movie. The trailer is packed with love, romance and the promise of a powerful storyline. The next thing to unbox is that National Film Award winning actor Rajkumar Rao will be playing a 324-years-old man in the movie.
You must have notice or spot a mysterious looking character, looks bit different, at the end of the trailer. The role of that mysterious looking character is played by Rajkumar. It is said the film’s team did 16 look test before picking the final one.
Raabta’s director Dinesh Vijan and actor Rajkumar Rao sat along with the team over a couple of days to get the final look in place. Even a special team from Los Angeles got on board and worked with Zuby Johal to etch the look for the actor.
In a statement director, Dinesh Vijan said, “Rajkumar was kind enough to do me a favour. It was tedious but, he patiently sat through it every day. I think, the idea of the prosthetics making him completely unrecognisable excited him as an actor.”
In addition to his look, his body posture and voice modulation had to be worked upon. The actor underwent five to six hours of prosthetic every day to get into his character. In addition to his look, his styling is important, he had wear accessories and also have tattoos.
When asked about the film and his role, Rajkumar said, “It was so much fun as an actor. Dinoo (Dinesh) has a very clear vision as a director and he gave me a lot of freedom as an actor to explore.”

He added, “The prosthetics used to take almost five to six hours every day and then I would start sweating inside all that make-up. It needed quite a bit of patience.”
The movie is slated to hit theaters on June 9.
