Daddy is an upcoming political crime drama film features Arjun Rampal in the avatar of a gangster. The film is written by Ashim Ahluwalia and Arjun Rampal and directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. In the film, Arjun portrays gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawali and today the official trailer of the film ‘Daddy’ has released.
In the two-minutes-fifteen-seconds trailer, the intriguing look of Arjun is breathtaking. The trailer is gripping, fast paced, gray and full of action with gunshots in the background. Before Daddy, Arjun played ruthless, cunning politician in ‘Rajneeti’ and he is back with more villainy character.
The film is based on a true story of a gangster-turned-politician Arun Gulab Gawli, the film is about three friends who form a gang after the lockdown of textile mills in Mumbai in 1970.
These workers who reside in Dagdi Chawl join hands with the underworld and call themselves B.R.A gang. B.R.A is an abbreviation of the initials of these three friends- Babu, Rama, and Arun.
Arjun dons two looks in the film one of a badass gangster and another of a politician, he wore Gandhi cap and looked awesome. He was hated as a gangster but loved as a politician, earns the support of masses who becomes fondly called as ‘Daddy’ by his followers.
A story of a man who neither steps back nor run away from the country. The trailer is thought to prove, compelling and draws many attentions. The film also features Aishwarya Rajesh, Mir Sarwar and is slated to release on July 21.
