Films are just like Mirrors. They show the society its true colurs or maybe its true self. Pink is one such film which openly targets the Men pyschology against the women folk in today`s era. This film has been jointly produced by Rashmi Sharma and Vicky Donor, Madras Café fame Sujit Sarkar. Anirudha Rai Chowdhary is the film`s Director and the story and screenplay has been presented by Ritesh Shah.
The star cast includes the great Amitabh Bachan, Tapsi Pannu, Kirti Kulahari, Andrea Tairyang, Angad Bedi, Vridhimaan Chatterjee and Piyush Mishra. The plot of the story is as follows, three girls named Falak Ali , Mrinal Arora aur Andrea are single working women happen to share a apartment together. They go to a rock concert from where they accept a dinner inviation of a known friend and some other known acquaintences. Couple of guys in the group assume that since these girls are here for drinks and dinner , they can have these girls for Dessert. But in their defence and their safety Meenal Arora hits a guy naed Rajvir with a bottle. Rajvir gets a wound on the head and some stiches as well.
Now Rajvir and his friends decide to take revenge from Minal . In their defence the girls go to the cops and file a report. To counter that reprt Rajvr`s uncle who has a strong political back up files an attempt to murder report on the girls. And this is where Big B comes in the frame. As he stands as a defence lawyer for the girls.
What happens next is a suspence. Do the girls get justice they deserve?….Or do Rajvir and friends go free due to their political connections?…or do the the girls get falsely convicted and what type of heat they have to face till their fight to justice ends?…These questions get answered when you go and watch the film by yourself. Because I won`t tell you the entire story. I am the guy who will just give my reviews on the film and carry out a small but important review.
But this time there wont be any reviews or post mortem from my side. Friends this is a very burning issue. And therefore I would like to congratulate Rashmi Sharma and Sujit Sarkar from thebottom of my heart as they picturised such a significant topic in their film.
This film actually reveals the diabolical thought process of a man for women. Somwhere down the line me have nearly the same perception for women in their mind. And that is to treat them as expendable asset. Today there are certain platforms and instances where we talk about men and women equality . Our eyes don’t go for their accomplishements or achievements but their mini skirts and short clothes. We are very quick to assume that if a women is going out for late night movies , parties nad drinks then the women is deemed as charecterless.
I am sorry to say friends but I guess we misinterpreted the definition of socity developmet and broad mindedness. Because disrespecting the women folk in this manner depicts that we are still in the stone age and not even a developing country.
I repeat that this movie doesn’t need any reviewing because the attempt to make such kind of film is an achievement in itself. And thus it deserves five out of five stars. And I empasize on the fact that you all should go with famiy and friends and watch this movie. Perhaps those of you who watch this movie might be able to educate and enlighten the society in a better way. Because if we change our thinking then we would be abe to change ur society.
