A few days back it was being confirmed that veteran South actor Kamal Haasan is about to join politics, by saying that he is doing it not by choice but due to the current turmoil in Chennai. He also officially confirmed the news in an interview and also says that he will float on his own.
The news again becomes the talk of the town when ace actor and politician Rajinikanth takes a dig on actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan’s verge of taking a political plunge. Rajinikanth said that politics takes more than just name, fame and money.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the memorial for legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan, Thailivaa said, “If you have to succeed in politics, it takes more than just fame and money. Something bigger is needed to transform an actor into a politician. I hope Kamal Haasan (knows) what it is.”
Adding further he said, “Kamal would have told me what it is had I asked him two months ago. Today, he says he will show me if I come with him.”
Rajinikanth himself into politics and in the year 1995 he began supporting Indian National Congress and in the year 2004, he said that he would personally vote for Bhartiya Janata Party, BJP.
