The country has entered the 71st year of independence. From Prime Minister Narendra Madi to his entire team, screaming and saying that what we have achieved in the last 67 years. Whatever has been done is done in these three years only, yeah right.
He also said that the government chosen for 67 years by the public, had taken the country behind instead of going forward. Modiji, in particular, believes that nothing has happened in the country. But is it true? So is Modiji saying a truth or it is his another way to divert the public by recalling the same statement?
On the development in the country after independence, former BJP Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee said that the country has made a lot of progress in the last few years. The statement varies of both the then and now prime ministers, so by saying that nothing has happened in the country, is not less than betraying the public.
If we are not seriously involved in all these fake promises and lies, we have a lot to say, show and tell. There is a lot to celebrate about the development. We have remained a democratic country, which is the first and biggest achievement. It can not be denied that crores of people are more independent in terms of making decisions about their life than before.
In the last 67 years markets, liberalization and materialism have changed the decoration of our drawing rooms to the bedroom. It also changed our conduct and idea, living and endurance. India has made progress in science and technology. Women’s dominance is increasing from politics to private sectors.
It is true that many burning issues including inflation, corruption, scams, accumulated black money stashed abroad are in the forefront, which let the opponents say that what happened in the last 70 years? 70 years ago, Britishers handover the country to the leaders who made the country so developed that now the same country is walking hand in hand with all those developed countries of the world.
Prime Minister Ji, in 1947, not even a needle got produced in the country. The whole country was divided into the kingdoms of Raja and Rajwadas. Only fifty villages in the country had electricity. Only a few people have telephone in their houses and there was no tap or duct in any village. There were only ten dams, few soldiers at the borders and around four planes and twenty tanks in the country.
The boundaries of the country were open from all sides. The treasure was empty. In such a state of distress, the then leaders got the hold of the country. In the last 67 years, the then governments have prepared the world’s fourth largest vigour and a strong military in India. Today there are about 3.5 million soldiers in the Indian Army, of which there are approximately 1.325 million active soldiers. This army includes 16,000 carriages, 3,500 tanks, and 1,785 aircraft, as well as powerful nuclear weapons and missiles.
The electricity net was housed in thousands of village in 67 years. If we only talk about the UPA government, during their reign, an average of 12,030 villages was given electricity annually. But after the Modi government came into the power, the average is 4,842, that means less than half. In the last 67 years, more than 3,000 big dams had been constructed in different states of the country, phone in every hand, the country with a TV in most of the houses and computer, was already built in those 67 years.
India has flourished in the last 67 years, due to which India is the second largest force in Asia. India had hosted the Asian Games. In India, dams like Bhakra and Rahand had been constructed. The country had already inaugurated Bhabha Atomic Research Center. Tarapur nuclear power plant had also started in the country. Hundreds of universities like AIIMS, IIT, IIM were opened in the country. SRO (Indian Space रिसर्च Organization) has started, White Revolution had started in India and the country had set up a network of industries.
Not only this, our dearest neighbouring country, Pakistan has broken into two pieces and kneel down in front of India with 1 lakh soldiers and commanders. Banks were nationalized in India and the country became self-reliant about cereals. India had started making airplanes and helicopters and most of the houses in the country got the facility of TV.
A network of supercomputers, television and information revolution (Information Technology) was established in the country. When Modi was taking oath as the Prime Minister, India had joined the first 10 countries of the highest foreign exchange funds.
Apart from these, reaching moon, Mission Mars, GSLV, Metro, International Airports, Nuclear submarine, thousands of missiles- Prithvi, Agni , Naag, etc, dozens of atomic devices, Chetak helicopter, Mig, Tejas, Droone, Arjun Tank, Dhanush Tank, plane with missiles, INS Vikrant, Aircraft carrier, etc and etc, to what extent I will make you count the accomplishments of last 67 years.
In the country’s defense treasury, aircraft like Tejas had landed. The country was starting to export defense equipment. Many countries’ satellites were being released from our Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. In the last 67 years, India has been steadily growing on the path of modernity. All the accomplishments were achieved by the country way before Modi Ji became Prime Minister.
Some drawbacks are definitely there in our country but still, we have taken countless steps towards progress. So, saying that nothing has happened in the country in last 70 years, it is equal to making fun of yourself.
