Not one or two, there are many Indian actors who joined Politics and trust most of them are doing so well. Not only actors even cricketers too are fond of politics. From Bollywood to South Cinema, there are numbers of actors and actresses who joined politics. And to join the bandwagon is ace actor ‘Kamal Haasan’.
The actor is all set to kick-start his political career and a couple of weeks ago he, in an interview, confirmed his entry into the politics. He also clarifies that he is joining politics not because of choice but due to current political turmoil in Chennai. He said, him joining the politics seemed to be the need of the hour.
Not only this he says that he is not going to join any of the political party and float of his own, as no political party would not go hand in hand with his ideologies. Well, it seems that Kamal Haasan actually entering into politics to do good but his latest revelation might break hearts of his fans.
During an interview with India Times, the veteran actor confirms that he would quit acting before joining politics. He said, “Well if I take up a position legally, I will have to. It will be painful. I will still be connected (to cinema) but won’t be actively engaging in it because my commitment would be something else.”
The actor who mentioned that his decision to float a party has been happening over time, met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal last week. The meeting fuelling rumours about their collaboration but in an interview he rubbished all these rumours. Even everyone’s favourite Rajinikanth enters into politics and on it Haasan said, he has his own path and to compare him with Thalaiva would be vulgar.
His decision of quitting cinema will break many hearts but talk about Haasan’s upcoming projects. The actor is currently hosting Tamil version of popular TV reality show Bigg Boss. He is also busy with the post-production work of much-delayed film Vishwaroopam 2, which is expected to release this year. Not only this, the actor also announced his next film Thalaivan Irukkiraan, a political thriller flick.
