Today’s second release is Munna Michael, directed by Sabbir Khan. This is the third time Tiger Shroff and Shabbir Khan collaborated after ‘Heropanti’ and ‘Baaghi’. The plot of the film goes; Michael is a dancer but due to his age he got rejected from the work related to dance.
He then got a child in a garbage, as someone had left him there and he grows up and become Munna, who is also very fond of dancing since childhood. But Michael doesn’t want him to become a dancer, due to his bad past experience. He always asks Munna to join a corporate job.
Munna came to Delhi to make his career, where he meets gangster Mahendra Singh aka Nawazzudin Siddiqui. Mahendra is in one- sided love with a girl named Dolly, who works as a dancer in a club and he asks Munna to help him to get her.
So, does Mahendra gets his love? Does Dolly also love Mahendra or she loves someone else? Will Munna follows his passion of dancing or goes for a corporate job. To know all this you need to watch this film because I am here to review it not to tell you the story.
Now, let’s watch the film from my perspective. The opening plot of the film seems like we are watching an 80s movie and it was a superhit opening. But later the film becomes a mixed pickle all thanks to Amal King’s constrained screenplay.
And Saabir Khan’s direction was also pathetic, which we had already seen in Heropanti and Baaghi, where he didn’t do anything special. It seems that Jackie Shroff has done a contract or sign a package deal with Saabir. If it is so, then why they are playing with the career of Tiger.
If we talk about acting, then everyone did an average job and Tiger needs to do more hard work. As his expressions remain constant but yes he is excellent when it comes to action and dance. Even Nawazzudin doesn’t leave any special impression, neither he looks like a gangster nor like a lover.
Cinematography and music were also average, there is no song which can really leave any impression. It is very hard for me to label this movie as a ‘one time watch’, the question of hit or super hit doesn’t even arise. My rating for this film is 2 out of 5.
